About Drumunity

Drumunity was a successful project in London Haringey Council Day Opportunities Services (for Adults with Learning Difficulties) starting in October 2008 pioneered by Reza Pazoki (who was an employee at Haringey Council). Soon Leila Zebiri joined the project and the project grew very fast, starting with one service and expanding to seven services in the first year. In summer 2010 Reza went to Edinburgh to study Community Music Therapy in order to expand his knowledge and skills. He got his MSc. in 2011 and set up a Community Interest Company in the same year. Since then we are working as Service Providers in London working with Adults with Learning difficulties, elderly, people with chronic mental health issues, school children and nurseries as well as organizations and big companies.

From its modest origins as a grassroots endeavor within the London Haringey Council Day Opportunities Services for Adults with Learning Difficulties in October 2008, Drumunity has evolved into a dynamic force in community engagement and enrichment. The overwhelming popularity among service users and staff propelled our expansion into various services, catalyzing the formal establishment of Drumunity CIC in 2011.

Since our inception, our journey has been marked by collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to inclusivity. We’ve had the privilege of partnering with a diverse array of public, private, and charitable organizations across London. Our reach extends across demographic boundaries, embracing adults, children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, those facing mental health challenges, and even intergenerational groups such as parents and children, and teenagers.

At Drumunity, our service offerings have grown organically to reflect the evolving needs of our communities. To explore the breadth of our services, please refer to Our Services page. Additionally, our impactful collaborations with a spectrum of organizations can be found on our Who We Work With page, a testament to our versatile approach and dedication to meaningful engagement.

Drumunity stands as a testament to the transformative power of community-driven initiatives. Rooted in a deep understanding of diverse needs and experiences, we continue to harmonize the rhythm of unity, creativity, and empowerment, enriching lives and forging connections across London’s vibrant tapestry.

Our Team: Reza Pazoki

Reza Pazoki, a visionary leader, embarked on a remarkable journey from his origins as a medical doctor to the forefront of community well-being transformation. Disenchanted with the conventional “pill for every-ill” approach, Reza’s quest for alternative pathways led him to the realm of community-centered well-being, where drumming emerged as a profound catalyst.

In 2005, Reza’s pursuit of holistic health took a pivotal turn with the study of Systemic Family Therapy, reshaping his perspective from individual health to the interconnectedness of communities. This pivotal insight, coupled with his passion for community music, crystallized into action with the inception of our inaugural project in Haringey in 2008.

Recognizing the transformative potential of community music, Reza’s commitment to elevating well-being propelled him to Edinburgh in 2010. There, he delved into the intricacies of Community Music Therapy, enriching his expertise. His journey culminated in the attainment of an MSc. in 2011, paralleled by the establishment of Drumunity CIC, a testament to his dedication.

Since then, Reza’s unwavering dedication has fostered the expansion of our impact, touching countless lives. His tireless efforts are a driving force, guiding Drumunity’s evolution as a beacon of positive change. Through his visionary leadership, Reza continues to pave the way for holistic well-being, leveraging the harmonizing power of music to unite communities and uplift spirits.
